from Poems on the Dance of Life

Monday Postscript
by Stephen M. Sachs

I am still in the dance.
In waves
The compacted moments
Of deep night singing
Surface
To burst over me
In the light of day.
Like ripples from a stone
Tossed into the central pool
Of my being,
Transformation flows
Across all the surfaces of my life.

The world looks different now.
If I am confused or disoriented for a moment,
That is O.K:
A symbol of my becoming
The truth that the Naraya
Set on its way.
